My September Favourites – {Kids, Fashion and Home} and WIN £100 to spend at Zara Posted on September 28, 2017August 13, 2021 By Becky It’s the end of the month, and I’m not going to lie, I’ve done a fair bit of shopping this month! Mainly stuff for the house and Arlo (as my excuse is babies always need bigger clothes), and also my thoughts have turned towards Christmas as from September onwards I like to start to buy presents and stocking fillers in order to spread the cost. Here are some of my best buys/giftings in September: Orla Kiely Grobag Our family worked with the Gro Company this past month, and one of the things they sent us which I LOVED and that goes perfectly in Arlo’s scandi-themed nursery is this Orla Kiely Sausage Dog print, 2.5 tog Grobag, perfect as the nights get chillier as we head into autumn. We used Grobags for Freddie and Sasha as babies, and wanted to use them again for Arlo. This one is very swish! Playmobil advent calendar Like I said, my thoughts are turning towards prepping and buying for Christmas (you can see my recent post on how I start planning for Christmas), and therefore I begin picking up festive bits and bobs that I don’t want to be panic-buying come December. For the past few years the children have had a Playmobil advent calendar that my mum bought them, and they love the coming together of the Christmassy scene as December progresses. However, I’m storing their old one away for Arlo, and have bought a new one for them to share as they know the old scene hands down now. I’ll probably be more excited than them to get this out on the 1st of the month! Zara baby boy clothes Whilst I struggle to get 6 year old Freddie nice, reasonably priced boys clothes these days, there are LOADS of gorgeous baby boy clothes about. I hit up Zara a little while ago and came away with some really cool-yet-still-sweet tops, jumpers and trousers for Arlo. GLTC picture I worked with the Great Little Trading Co as part of their testing team this month, and I’m still loving the things that they sent me, in particular this print that I think will make a great gift for some friends who are expecting babies over the next few months. Sainsbury’s Candle Seriously impressed with this 3 wick fig leaf and elderberry candle from Sainsbury’s, as it’s a supermarket one that actually smells when lit! The scent is perfect from going from summer to autumn, and helps make the living room look all cosy now the nights are drawing in. At £6 (ish) you can afford to embrace your inner hygge! Succulents and terranium I did what I always do when I head to Lidl for ‘just a few bits’- come out with the most random of things! On this occasion it was this giant rope-handled terranium for only £7, and it now has pride of place on the kitchen window sil, along with a whole load of succulents that I got from Ikea for only a few quid each. Green is good! Have you bought anything great this month? Let me know in the comments box below- I’m always on the hunt for a new gem of a buy! This month I’m giving you the chance to go shopping at Zara for some cool kids clothes like the ones I bought Arlo (or maybe something for yourself!) as I have an £100 Zara Gift card to giveaway.
