How We Transformed Our Home with SGS Engineering DIY Tools – A Review

Seeveral years ago, I shared our big, slightly overwhelming list of DIY dreams for our new home. Back then, we’d just moved in, armed with Pinterest boards, grand ideas, and a healthy dose of optimism. Fast forward to today, and we’ve tackled most of that list (plus a few unexpected extras), learned a lot when it comes to DIY dos and don’ts, and discovered that the right DIY tools really can make all the difference.

One of our biggest jobs was opening up the kitchen/diner by removing the wall that separated the two spaces. It instantly made the room lighter, bigger, and more sociable.

We used it with a nail gun to quickly and securely fix skirting boards and interior cladding without splitting the wood. It was also brilliant for blowing away sawdust from hard-to-reach corners before painting, which meant a smoother finish. I’d always thought of compressors as more of a ‘professional workshop’ tool, but this SGS compressor has earned a permanent place in our DIY arsenal.

Result: A quiet, comfortable spot to work (and occasionally hide from the chaos indoors).
