A ‘What Would Irene Do?’ Shop Update & A Thank You

Posted on June 7, 2014May 2, 2025 By Becky

Happy Saturday folks! Apologies for the rather image-heavy post, but I had to share some of the new stock I have in my ‘What Would Irene Do?’ Vintage Crockery Shop now!

I’m also excited to announce that I am now offering a vintage crockery hire service for small weddings/tea parties/ events for up to 50 people, with plans to expand as the year progresses. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do, but now have the oomph to do it now the shop is up and running. Tis exciting times indeed! Go to www.whatwouldirenedo.com for more info!

Hope you’re having a great weekend? My last post on ‘When Breastfeeding Goes (ahem) Tits Up’ caused a bit of a stir, and some healthy debate, but I’m so glad I wrote it. I’ve had countless emails, comments and tweets from ladies showing their support, and sharing their stories of breastfeeding and bottle feeding triumphs and (sadly in many cases), struggles. One of the joys of blogging is being able to have a voice, and I thought that if the post would help just one person, then it would be a job well done. Amazingly it seems to have helped more than one person, and I am so, so happy this is the case. Thank you to everyone who supported and shared this post with others who are also struggling/have struggled.

Us ladies need to stick together, girl power and all that jazz! x

Making memories AKA mangling mince pies!

Posted on November 23, 2014May 19, 2025

Okay, so I know this is another Christmas-related post in November, but please bare with me! When I was growing up, one of the traditions I can remember in the run-up to Christmas, along with making the Christmas cake, was to make mince pies with my Mum, and bung them…

2017….A brand new year!

Posted on January 1, 2017

There’s something about starting a new year that gives me a real boost, and I always feel that I can’t wait to put plans into practice. I’m not really one for resolutions these days, as I think it always makes you feel mildly depressed and puts a downer on things…

Love the items in your shop and the idea of having a hire service. Much nicer than plain white plates you normally get.

What a lovely shop full of bits you have- I love vintage teacups, even though bizarrely I don’t drink tea. 😉

Thanks Katie! Although I’m not sure we could be friends if you don’t drink tea 😉 Coffee or hot choccie works just as well though! If you’re going to Britmums I may have to try and convert you!
