Our Week In Numbers… Posted on June 15, 2014August 13, 2021 By Becky 13.25 :: The number of minutes it took me to essentially run around the block. I am really unfit at the moment, but little steps, eh? Must do better! 8 :: PM- the time on Wednesday that I met up with 3 other lovely Sarf-East London bloggers, Katrina, Alison and Gill. Was great to natter, and will be reassuring to see some friendly and familiar faces at Britmums next week! 4700 :: The number of pounds our favourite pub in Greenwich wants from us, in order to essentially hire a bit of their garden for 4 hours, and have a little buffet and some drinks for the daytime bit of our wedding reception next year. Er, we thought” BUH-BYE!”. The hunt continues… 3 :: The number of times I went out this week on ‘a school night’ once the children were in bed. This hasn’t happened in a LONG time, and I must admit, I do like nights in in order to recharge. I can’t hack the pace with late nights anymore! However, I don’t feel too bad, because… 3 :: …is the number of weeks since I had an alcoholic drink. I’ve stopped the every-other-day daily 6pm wine ritual plus weekly booze binge, as I want to feel less sluggish, and hangovers last 4 days now <old gimmer> and are horrific with small children! I feel better already, and have been a lot more productive since, so am planning to continue indefinitely, we will see how it goes! 6 :: The number of hours sleep I’ve been averaging this last week, due to those nights out. I need 7 now at least! 5 :: Fabulous boyfriend T-shirts purchased from the oh so lovely ASOS. I love them, as you can dress them up and down- perfect for a mum on the run like me going from day-to-night. Countless :: The number of ‘hundreds and thousands’ balls that Sasha hurled around the kitchen when her and Freddie decorated fairy cakes on Friday. Still, the fun they had making them makes up for now finding new, unswept up ones on an almost hourly basis since then. Almost… Hope your week has been a good ‘un! My Word for 2020: Growth Posted on January 1, 2020January 3, 2022 I’ve written these kind of ‘New Year’s Resolution’ posts on a few occasions now since creating this blog, and whilst I often cringe at the cliche of them, as someone who really buzzes off goal setting they still fill me with a small amount of ‘clean-slate-joy’! The last few years… Read More
