Back in the game blog-wise Posted on June 1, 2016June 16, 2016 By Becky I’ve been feeling VERY aware that I’ve been absent from this blog for the past couple of weeks, and not entirely ‘present’ for the last month or so, which is very unlike me (my work blog backlog is looking a bit frightening right now!), but we’ve had so much going on. For me, it’s been house-related, or should I say, house moving-related, and various stress and head space that that’s been taking up. Lots of decisions to make that I can’t share right now, but hopefully it will all work out. Throw in a whole web redesign project for my day job working in digital marketing, and I haven’t been able to feel remotely creative or like writing anything much. I like to think I’m usually good at multi-tasking and very organised, but in actual fact I’m discovering that I find it hard to split my focus when I’m worrying and concentrating on such big things, which to be honest has been really frustrating and hard to admit to myself. I’ve also really missed catching up on all my favourite blogs and bloggers, something I love doing, and find that even after only a few weeks I feel really out of the loop, some proper FOMO going on! I’m booking in a night over the next few days to have a real online catch up, and try and get my blogging mojo back. I’ve also decided to definitely go to Britmums if I can get a ticket, as I always feel inspired after the sessions and it’s so nice to see old and new faces. I guess this post is to say that by next week and once half term has finished I’m hoping to be ‘back in the game’ so to speak. It hasn’t been all bad though- some days/evenings it’s been really nice just to hang out with Adam, the children, or friends, and not feel like I have to blog, or do stuff to do with blogging, even though I love it. A mini holiday if you will! I’ve been jotting down ideas for blog posts, and need to pick up my camera again. I think that blogging, or anything creative to be honest is like working a muscle- it needs exercising regularly otherwise it can get stiff! If you’re reading this, thanks for sticking with me, and I’ll be back very, very soon! Life in general My Perfect Weekend Rituals Posted on December 10, 2021October 3, 2024 I used to think weekends had changed irrecoverably when Freddie was a baby- as an early riser there were no more long lie ins, plus no more lengthy Saturday pub sessions, and no more all day Sunday sofa sessions. Whilst all that is true, and of course your life changes… Read More

I hope everything went well and the move was good. I have been the same recently, since having the baby I just haven’t had a chance to read blogs or do as much on my blog as I would like. I feel SO out of it and I don’t like it! Hopefully I will get back in the game soon too! xx Reply
