Is Your Home Missing A Natural Touch? Posted on June 13, 2025 By Becky A lot of homes out there today are missing that natural touch that have always made our spaces much more cosy. That’s why we think it’s time to bring these natural touches back, and with a bang! Modern homes in particular, being filled with sleek edges and smart tech, often benefit the most from having more of a natural touch in their interior decor. Bringing that sense of the world around us back into the hypertech, superconnected world of the modern age ties the entire aesthetic together in one amazing bundle. And if that sounds like a lovely idea for your next home decor project, here are the natural touches you’ll want to consider. Create an Indoor Garden Indoor gardens are beautiful things. Set up a little gardening area anywhere you like, pop your plants into it, and then tend to them as and when they need it. Your indoor garden can be as big or small as you like too. If you’ve got the room available, you can even have it cross multiple floors, and grow up the stairs or the bannisters that guide them. If you like, look into creating a living wall too. This can be done using fake greenery, if you’d rather not have a bunch of plant material just jutting out of a panel in your walls, but we’d definitely recommend having a few real plants in there! Invest in Wood Furniture Wood is, quite honestly, the most common naturally occurring texture of all. When you have exposed wood in your home, you’re going to walk into the space and immediately feel like you’ve got more of an organic, living aesthetic around you. So make sure you bring more wood tones and textures into your home. This is easiest to do using furniture, and there are plenty of high quality brands like vidaxl out there. You can even use a bit of garden furniture in place of standard indoor furniture, if you can’t quite find the style you’re looking for! Decorate with Natural Tones Natural tones are those we find in everyday nature. Head outside right now and think about the tone variations you’re seeing. There’s probably lots of green, of course, but you’ll also see a lot of blue, yellow, oranges, reds, and browns too. Those are the kind of colours you want to bring back into your home and use them in the decor. Look for these colours in shades that are literally ‘down to earth’. Bold and bright ones can be used sparingly throughout the house, when you really need a vibrant pop somewhere or another, as can the more pastel shades on the colour wheel. If your home is missing the kind of natural touch that makes it feel like a part of the world, use the tips above to incorporate nature into your personal space. The more of a natural touch you have, the more you’re likely to enjoy how dynamic and real your interior feels!
