Home Comforts – 1970s Charity Shop Clock Find Posted on March 28, 2014May 2, 2025 By Becky I seem to come across the word ‘thrifted’ a lot in the blogging world lately, which I guess is a slightly twee way of saying you nabbed something from a charity shop. Well, let’s call a spade a spade here- this fabulous (in my eyes!) 1970s clock was salvaged for £3 from the dregs of Cancer Research, and I LOVE IT! The hard lines and mute colours might not to be to everyone’s taste, but it gives a bit of an edge to our living room. In a decade of free love, social progressivism, economic upheaval, and, of course, the unwavering persistence of migraine-inducing wallpaper, this little minimalist would’ve been considered a breath of interior fresh air. Long may it reign on our mantelpiece! PS .I’m thinking of making this series into a ‘linky’, so will let you know details if and when I do!
