Estarer Baby Changing Backpack Bag – Review and Giveaway Posted on March 14, 2019December 20, 2021 By Becky It’s not often that so excited about the prospect of being sent something practical for one of the children, but when Estarer got in touch and asked if I wanted to try their Baby Changing Backpack Bag (complete with change mat too), I immediately said a big “yes please!” I’d been toying with getting a new changing bag for Arlo for a while as our old one was starting to get a big scruffy. I’d seen several stylish ones on the market, both traditional ‘over the shoulder’ ones and backpack styles, but with these seem to come whopping price tags, and with Arlo being most likely our last baby I just couldn’t justify the spend. What’s different about the Estarer Baby Changing Backpack Bag is that it looks great AND practical as well as being wholly affordable at £32.99 via Amazon (and Prime to boot). I liked the idea of giving a backpack change bag a go, as since we are an active family I thought it would be more practical now. The grey colour of the backpack with tan accents means that on a shallow level it goes with pretty much any outfit (man or woman!), and is something that I’ve definitely been keen to have on my back when out with Arlo. I’ve also had a few admiring comments from fellow parents, as well as some comments on my Instagram stories! Here’s a little tour around the backpack, and at the bottom of this post a chance to win one of your own From a purely aesthetic point I think the tan leather straps and zip tags look super-smart on a grey background, and the material of the bag, whilst not waterproof on the outside, feels thick and hard-wearing. I like how the fastenings on the bag are easy to open and close when you have your hands full, with smooth zips, clips poppers that you could manage with one hand. The bag has clips so you can still hang your backpack on the pushchair- great if you don’t want to actually wear it at any time. When it comes to any practical bag or storage item, I am a BIG fan of a compartment (definitely goes hand in hand with the ‘a place for everything and everything in its place’ mentality of mine!), and the Estarer change backpack has loads- all geared with your baby or toddler in mind…. There are two baby bottle drinks holders, both of which are insulated, meaning you can keep the contents warm/cold for much longer than in a usual changing bag. If you want to forgo bringing a separate handbag when you’re out and about, there’s a separate ‘grown up’ compartment, with enough space for your purse/wallet, diary etc, plus an attachment to keep your keys on. The clever design of the bag means that there are parts that have been so well thought out- I love the side pockets made for wipes so you can pull one out of the little zipped bit! From a comfort perspective, there is plenty of padding on the reverse of the backpack that fit closest to you back, and the straps are fully adjustable. So what do we think overall? We’ve been loving our Estarer changing backpack so far and we won’t be going back to the old one! Yes, this backpack is perhaps slightly bigger than our old changing bag, but it’s so comfy to wear and the fact it still can be strapped to the buggy is a big plus for me. It looks fantastic too! I so wish we’d had this when Arlo was first born, I think the insulated bottle holders would have been such a game changer back when he needed more bottles when out and about.
