Colour Recognition Activity – Yellow Posted on October 18, 2013 By Becky Now Sasha is a fully-fledged toddler, I thought it would be fun to roll out the good old colour recognition trays again. This is a simple activity that I started doing with Freddie at a similar age, grouping various objects of the same colour together and naming them. As well as learning about colours, it’s also an easy way of spending 5 minutes talking to your toddler, and helps language development i.e. getting your child to repeat the names of each item back to you, if they’re able to. I started with a yellow tray this time around, as 1. Sasha can say the word, and 2. since she thinks everything is the colour ‘yellow’ at the moment! 🙂 BeckyMeet the award-nominated UK lifestyle blogger behind Spirited Puddle Jumper – a mum of three living in South East London!
