Cruising on the Balmoral with Planet Cruise Posted on September 30, 2016August 13, 2021 By Becky I mentioned in a previous travel post of mine that as a family we have a ‘travel’ bucket list, with a whole array of places to visit, both in the UK and further afield. Something that neither Adam or myself have done, is to go on a cruise. I LOVE the idea of having everything you could need and want on one ship – restaurants, entertainment, activities – yet still get to see a range of places. Well, if you’re looking for a cruise, what better place to start than Planet Cruise? With hundreds of different cruise ships and destinations to choose from, you’re bound to find the perfect cruise holiday for you and your family. I love the look of The Balmoral, a cruise ship run by Fred Olsen, and one that travels to some spectacular destinations all over the world. Balmoral is the most recent addition to the Fred Olsen fleet and also the largest, carrying a total of 1,350 guests. She is named after the Royal Family’s Scottish home, which is reflected in her decor, mixing traditional British style with a contemporary twist. Onboard Balmoral, you’ll find five delicious dining options, which offer a mixture of flexible or set dining times. You’ll also find a host of bars andlounges, evening entertainment, a spa and fitness centre, plus daytime enrichment activities. Whilst onboard, the dress code is casual during the day and smart casual for dining. There’ll also be the chance to don your best frocks and dinner jackets for at least one formal nightduring your voyage. With Balmoral, you can visit Belgium and sample some of the mouth-watering local chocolate, or sail to Norway where you can explore the stunning fjords and refreshing waterfalls. In each destination, you’ll also have the chance to book additional land tours so that you can learn a little more about your surroundings. Sounds perfect to me! And Planet Cruise is the perfect cruise operator to help plan your cruise holiday of a lifetime. Have you ever been on a cruise before? Where did you go? *In collaboration BeckyMeet the award-nominated UK lifestyle blogger behind Spirited Puddle Jumper – a mum of three living in South East London!
