5 Convenient Parking Options Near Gatwick Airport

Posted on June 14, 2023 By Becky

parking options near Gatwick Airport

Finding convenient parking options near Gatwick Airport is essential for a stress-free start to your journey! As our nearest major airport, it’s a place we’ve fortunate enough to travel from many times, and, depending on flight times, have often made the most of driving to the airport and leaving our car in a long-term stay option, so we then have it available on our return and don’t have to faff about with public transport.

With several parking options available, it’s important to choose the one that suits your needs and budget the best. Below I  explore five convenient parking places near Gatwick Airport that offer reliable services, easy access, and peace of mind while you’re away…

Gatwick Official Long Stay North Terminal:

If you’re flying from Gatwick’s North Terminal, the official Long Stay car park is an excellent choice. Located just a short distance from the terminal, it offers frequent shuttle bus transfers that take only a few minutes. This secure car park is equipped with CCTV, regular patrols, and 24/7 staff presence, ensuring the safety of your vehicle during your trip. Pre-booking is recommended for discounted rates and guaranteed availability.

Gatwick Official Short Stay:

Ideal for short trips or picking up/dropping off passengers, the official Short Stay car park at Gatwick is conveniently located within walking distance of both the North and South Terminals. It offers covered parking spaces and easy access to the airport terminals. Although it may be slightly more expensive than other options, the proximity and convenience make it a popular choice for travelers seeking a hassle-free parking experience.

APH Gatwick:

APH Gatwick is a trusted off-site parking facility that offers both Park and Ride and Meet and Greet services, and one that we’ve used a few times before (you can also get a good offer on Top Cashback if you book through their site). Park and Ride involves parking your car in a secure facility and taking a shuttle bus to the airport terminals, while Meet and Greet allows you to drop off your car with a professional driver who will park it for you. APH Gatwick provides competitive rates, excellent customer service, and a range of additional services like car washing and valet options.

Purple Parking Gatwick:

Purple Parking is a well-established off-site parking provider near Gatwick Airport. It offers both Park and Ride and Meet and Greet services, providing flexibility for travelers. With 24/7 security measures in place, including CCTV and regular patrols, Purple Parking ensures the safety of your vehicle while you’re away. Pre-booking is recommended to secure the best rates and availability.

Cophall Parking Gatwick:

Cophall Parking is another reliable off-site place if you’re looking for parking options near Gatwick Airport. With Park and Ride services, you can park your car in a secure facility and take a shuttle bus to the airport terminals. Cophall Parking provides regular transfers, 24/7 security, and friendly staff. Additionally, they offer complimentary services such as car battery assistance, tire inflation, and windshield cleaning.

Choosing the right parking option near Gatwick Airport is essential for a smooth and stress-free travel experience. Whether you prefer on-site parking for convenience or off-site options for competitive rates, the five locations I’ve mentioned above offer reliable and secure parking services.

Consider factors such as distance from the terminals, shuttle frequency, security measures, and additional services to make the best choice for your needs. By selecting a trusted parking provider, you can rest assured that your vehicle will be safe while you enjoy your trip!
