3 Ways To Keep Your Life Organized

Imagine this; you came home after an exhausting day, longing for your bed to sleep the stress away. However, as soon as you step into your bedroom, you get hit by reality.

Your closet is cluttered, there’s a wet towel on the bed, and laundry has been left undone. Woah!

Amidst your “crazy busy” life, you didn’t realize how chaotic things have been around you, influencing your everyday life. And, now, your stress-o-meter is about to blow out.

But, will this burnout bring any good to you? Probably not! Instead, you need to calm down and get your life back on track.

To assist you in this journey, we’ve listed below ways to keep your life organized.

So, let’s get started!

#1 Start Journaling

When you are determined to sort out the turmoil but don’t know where to begin- write a journal. Yes, you read it right! Journaling is an effective way to clear your thoughts and feel relaxed.

Pen down the things you need to buy for your house or office, important dates such as meetings or birthdays, and plan your week ahead.

Journaling is a private affair. This allows you to express your thoughts freely, know and understand yourself and arrange your goals. So, what are you waiting for? Start writing now!

Tip: You can use notes or journaling apps on your smartphone for the same.

#2 Get Inspiration

We all have those days when we don’t feel like doing anything. It feels better to shut down everything and isolate. However, you must try a little harder on such days to get up and move.

Seek inspiration from people living unadorned lives, such as Wyoming Carmelites, and send your prayers. In fact, if you believe in a superior power but don’t get enough time to devote yourself, leaving a prayer request will give you peace of mind.

When you feel inspired, you can avoid procrastination and get things done as and when required. It will allow you to change your routine for the better while keeping the negative emotions at bay.

#3 Set Deadlines

In today’s fast-paced lifestyle, learning time management is vital. It ensures that you attain the set objectives, but not at the expense of your physical and mental health.

Set deadlines for all the tasks without overburdening yourself.

Learn about the things that require your immediate attention and attend to them. For instance, after eating dinner, wash the dishes right away. Doing so will ensure you have ample time in the morning to prepare and eat breakfast.

Understand that a sloppy schedule is a never-ending saga. Unless you set strict deadlines and abide by them, it’ll be quite challenging to declutter.

Wrapping It All Up

Of course, organizing your life is easier said than done. There might be days when your dopamine & serotonin are high, so you feel encouraged to clear the clutter. On other days, you may seek tranquility. Whatever the scenario may be, remember to feel grateful for the things you have and strive to be a better version of yourself.
