The Top Ways To Keep Your Car In Fantastic Condition & Under The Bonnet As Well Posted on August 8, 2024 By Becky It is fair to say that the vast majority of people here in Australia have at least one vehicle in the family and it is generally the family car. It is the one thing that we rely on heavily to get the kids off to school and to then get us to work. Like everything in this life, if you take care of it then it will reward you with many years of service but if you go in the opposite direction then the inevitable will happen. There is nothing worse than rushing on a busy morning, you get into your car and it won’t start. This is a nightmare situation to find yourself in and so it is to be avoided at all costs. There is always the option to rely on chauffeur car hire but this is generally something reserved for important occasions like your school dance or maybe you’re going to meet some important business clients. For all other times, the following are just some of the top ways to keep your car in fantastic condition and that includes under your bonnet as well. Change the engine oil regularly – This is a very important component of any car engine and if the engine is able to move freely then it will last you a lot longer. The more friction that the family car and its engine experiences, the higher the likelihood that you will experience difficulties. Make sure you schedule your car for regular services so that you can rely on it to start and to keep going to get you where you want to be. Always drive with good tyres – Good tyres are incredibly important because they help to save you money when it comes to the amount of fuel that you put into your vehicle and they will stop you quickly so that you can avoid road traffic accidents. Be sure to check the air pressure in your tyres at least once a week and this is a job that you can do all by yourself. Keep your battery clean – It is important that you keep the terminals clean on either side of your battery because if they have any corrosive elements on them then this will make your vehicle more difficult to start on those cold mornings. If it is a liquid battery then make sure that you check it on a regular basis and top it up with water when required. Get the brakes checked – It’s no good having great tyres if the brakes on your car are not functioning properly. Get the pads checked and if they need to be changed then don’t put it off until next week. These are the things that will keep you and your family members safe on the road and it is an essential part of road safety. If you follow the above four tips then there’s no reason why your car should let you down any day.
