My Siblings in October

Posted on October 15, 2017November 11, 2017 By Becky

Sometimes the most off-the-cuff photos are the best!

I took these the other night, post-bathtime and in PJs of my three whilst they were hanging out on our bed. Often, once he’s been bathed, Arlo is SO ready for his milk and therefore not all smiles, but this time he was and I quickly grabbed my phone to take a few snaps. I am very thankful for decent quality cameras on phones these days, as it’s not always convenient to get my bigger cameras out and often you can miss the ‘moment’.

Whilst I don’t want to wish the time away at all, and nearly 4 months Arlo is starting to interact with his big brother and sister a lot more, and this will only get better as time goes on. Freddie and Sasha are so good at entertaining him and having a chat with him, and his little face just lights up when we go and pick them up from school and he sees them for the first time in several hours. They can also make him laugh now, which is a gorgeous thing to see!

Now we are just over a month in to a new school term (half term after this next though already, which is insane), I’m feeling in a much better routine when it comes to managing all 3, although we do still have the odd crazy bedtime juggle if Adam is not around for whatever reason. Even with the juggle, I really can’t imagine our little A not being here now, and he brings so much joy to all of us. It’s funny how nappies and feeding and broken nights become the new normal again and you just get on with it and factor it in. And the smiles make it all worth!

I know everyone’s situation is different, but if you’re umming and aahing about number 3 then i’m a positive advocate of ‘going for it’- i’m so, so glad we did.

Hello, how are you? It feels ages since I wrote a proper ‘catch up’ post. I don’t know why, but I feel a bit like I’ve lost my writing mojo, my online voice. Maybe it’s because I’ve had a few months off doing all but the bare bones of blogging,…

Highlights from Summer…

Posted on September 1, 2015August 13, 2021

We’ve had such a lovely summer, despite the weather not always being that favourable. It’s been weird- one minute I felt the holidays were dragging a little, and then it feels like it’s zoomed by and the children are starting school/back at preschool next week. Here are a few little…

Yes, I’m 95% sure we’re done at 3, I’m just not sure I could juggle anymore successfully!

Oh hunny lovely snaps of your little trio I love it. I said three always may look chaos at times but is the best triangle of dynamics and relationships between them. Always a sibling to glue the other to back if they fall out too. lol I would love another. Your making me broody! #siblings
