Spring cleaning is a pursuit that very much has its pros and cons. On the positive side, it definitely gives the whole home a fresher feel and it gets the endorphins flowing too. On the other, it can be tiring work and it also feels a little bit like you’re living amid a crime scene, afraid to disturb anything and limited in what you can do around the home. But spring cleaning doesn’t always need to be as extensive as it sometimes feels. Sometimes, targeted projects that take less time and actively improve one or two areas can give you that boost without the upheaval. If you’re looking to ease into it, here are some low-stress ideas.

Freshen up forgotten corners

It’s easy to forget the tucked-away areas like the utility room, garage or under-sink cupboard – but these forgotten spaces can become dusty, damp and cluttered and create a spillover sense of disorganisation. A simple freshening-up can make a huge difference.
