Great Tourist Spots in South East Asia

Posted on April 17, 2024 By Becky

South East Asia has so much to offer – from the beaches and mountains of Thailand to the diversity and modernity of Singapore and so much more in between. Whatever you are looking for, you are likely to find it in this vibrant, stunning part of the world. Here, we take a look at some of the countries and the reasons you should travel to South East Asia.

  1. Singapore – Often referred to as the gateway to SE Asia, Singapore offers a unique experience. With its cultural diversity evident as soon as you step off the plane, this in turn leads to a unique culinary experience, with a blend of Chinese, Malay and Indian foods available. Singapore is also well known for its green spaces, such as Garden by the Bay, Singapore Zoo and Botanic Gardens to name just a few. Along with Universal Studios and a host of attractions for kids, it is also a great destination to travel to as a family. There are fantastic nightlife venues and Michelin-starred restaurants to tickle your taste buds, along with its modern transport systems, safety and cleanliness. Click here for some great Singapore hotel offers.
  2. Thailand – Well known as ‘The Land of Smiles’, you will feel the goodwill and friendliness of the Thai people at once. With some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and stunning, world-class hotels and resorts, Thailand truly is paradise on earth if that’s what you are looking for. Along with its vibrant atmosphere, amazing street food, stunning temples and great night markets, there are so many things to explore at night. For more information on travel, click here.
  3. Vietnam – Vietnam has long lived in the shadow of its more popular and well-known neighbour in Thailand, but people are starting to see the amazing beauty and stunning culture that Vietnam has to offer. Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City offer the big city vibe, while its landscapes and coastline are among the most picturesque in the world. Halong Bay has stunning beaches and resorts to offer, while temples, beautiful historic streets and amazing cuisine are always not too far away in this vibrant country.
  4. The Philippines – If you are the adventurous type, and you are looking for some adrenaline-pumping activities to keep you inspired, the Philippines has got you covered. It is a paradise for nature lovers and thrill seekers, where you can swim with whale sharks and go diving in Cebu. Its diverse landscape and simply beautifully white beaches with crystal clear waters offer you the chance to relax and recharge, while also having that big city feel of Manilla, where you can explore all the cultural heritage and rich history of this exciting country.

Where do you start in South East Asia? The options are endless, and here is just a small snippet of some of the choices at hand. Rest assured, whatever it is you are seeking, you will find it in this idyllic part of the globe. Take a look here for more travel information for this part of the world.
