Choosing The Right Male Underwear Posted on December 23, 2024 By Becky You would think choosing the right underwear for men is easy, but there are some important things to take into account that go beyond what’s comfortable. You have to consider the underwear’s function, what you plan to be doing in it, and what you will be wearing on top of it. The highly functional underwear you wear at the gym isn’t going to be the same as the sexy Male lingerie you wear out on a hot date night, at least it shouldn’t be! The kind of underwear you choose to wear can have a significant impact on how you feel. Today’s underwear comes in a wide variety of styles, all designed with your comfort in mind. Look for waistbands that aren’t binding, won’t fold over, are durable, and soft on the skin. All of the underwear styles that feature a leg, like boxers, are also fitted with a gusset, a flat panel in the crotch that will help fit the legs and prevent any unpleasant ride. Let’s take a look now at some of the most popular style options! Trunks – These are the shortest leg brief at about a 2.54cm inseam. They are often thought of as being “date night ready”! They are perfect when you want to have a leg but don’t require a lot of fabric, or are going to be in a warm environment. Boxer Briefs – These mid-leg briefs have a 7.62cm inseam, and are the most popular item on the market. Their popularity stems from having an all-purpose leg that’s good for average temperatures coupled with a casual fit under your clothing. They look nice, too! Biker Briefs – These are longest legged brief at a 12.7cm inseam. They are a terrific style for guys who are big and/or tall who feel that a shorter leg is really a bit too short. This is a style that lends itself well to colder temperatures, offers a lot of leg support, and prevents chafing. Hip Briefs – These ‘no leg’ briefs used to be called the “tighty whitey”, but the modern take on the style is fully supportive, has a much better looking and more comfortable ‘not tight’ design, and can be worn under any piece of clothing in your wardrobe. They come in a wide range of colours, but you can get them in white if you insist! Thongs & Jocks – These do what they are meant to do, offer support and confidence that everything stays put, an excellent combination of comfort, performance, and support. Choosing the right underwear will make you feel great in any situation!
