Beautiful Children’s Thank you cards by HoneyTree Publishing #Review

Posted on January 1, 2020June 22, 2021 By Becky

Ever since I was a little girl, writing a thank you card or letter to those kind enough to buy me a gift for my birthday, or for Christmas, has been something that became second nature. I remember sitting down with my Mum just after New Year and her helping me with any tricky spellings, and also the details of the addresses to write neatly on the envelopes.

Now I’m a parent myself, I still believe that actually sitting down to take the time to write thank you cards is an important ritual to instill in my children. Whilst I’m not averse to an actual phone call or saying thank you in person should the occasion arise, the actual gesture of sitting down and writing a thank you card is one that I believe helps children to really take the time and appreciate the thought that someone has taken to choose a present. When my children were really little, I’d write them on their behalf, and now that they’re older they write them themselves with a little help and guidance from Adam or myself.

HoneyTree Publishing got in touch and asked if we’d like to use and review some of their children’s thank you and correspondence cards, and I was more than happy to oblige! We were able to choose a few different designs- some to use post-Christmas, and a couple of designs to use in the future for the children’s birthdays.

On the website you can choose from a number of different A6 designs, and then from the font and wording that you would like on the cards.

Easy peasy!

For our post-Christmas thank you cards from the children this year, I chose the ‘Woodland Animals‘ selection of cards, and decided to have printed ‘Thank you for our Christmas presents, love Freddie, Sasha and Arlo x’  on each one so that we could then personalise the card with their own ‘thank yous’ in the space above as much or as little as possible. These are great for younger children who can write, but aren’t quite up to ‘essay’ type thank you letters or something more formal as you can choose what is on each card.

We also chose ‘The Christmas Collection’, ‘The Jungle Collection’ and ‘The Sports Collection‘ and each illustrated design is just beautiful- you can tell that so much time has gone into each drawing.

The cards and envelopes are also really thick and feel luxurious (see the gold edging here!).

Another lovely touch that I wasn’t expecting is the inclusion of 2 spare envelopes in each pack- ideal for mistakes made by little ones getting to grips with envelope addressing!

So if you’re looking for some thank you cards that are delightfully whimsical as well as super-classy, then HoneyTree should be your go-to place. They also do lots of lovely other cards and stationery items too!
