10 things that have made me happy this week

Posted on September 10, 2018August 13, 2021 By Becky

  1. Arlo just becoming the best little guy to hang out with- he’s so funny, with a brilliant sense of humour already, and even though this age is hard work I love how much he’s learning and taking in all the time.
  2. An increasingly raucous cheese and wine night on Friday with friends at mine- we laughed so much and even though we had sore heads the next day it was worth it!
  3. A promising house viewing at the weekend- fingers crossed they get back to us.
  4. Freddie playing so well at his first football league match of the season. His team lost, but they all played brilliantly and I think that in a few games time they’ll be a great side.
  5. Watching Harry Potter with Sasha under a blanket during a lazy Sunday afternoon- we’re looking forward to watching number 3 this Saturday, just hoping it’s not too scary for her!
  6. Banana loaf with banana icing baked by Freddie and Adam- perfect with a cup of tea.
  7. Getting into more of a routine now the kids are back at school. I love them being off for the summer, but it feels good to not be behind with work now!
  8. Adam and I starting the second series of Ozark- love autumn telly!
  9. Also, autumn dressing- just love layers.
  10. Pink gin- maybe i’m a cliche, but it’s sooooo good!

So here I am, in a (slight) fug of sleep deprivation… actually, our baby boy is actually a pretty ‘good’ sleeper, waking only once or twice in the night to be fed and (so far) then going back to sleep, but still nothing prepares you for the broken sleep once…

Freddie getting a new swimming badge and being moved up a grade- he was so pleased (as were we!) and I think this will really help his confidence when it comes to his swimming. Mexican food and cocktails round ours with friends last Saturday night- made us realise we SO…

10 Surprising Positives of Lockdown

Posted on May 25, 2020January 28, 2022

It must be 9 weeks (or is it 10?) since we, as a family, have been ‘in’, and by ‘in’ I of course mean lockdown, something that every single person in the whole of the UK (unless you’re an amazing key worker of course), has been enduring. We’ve now had…

Look how big your boy is getting! Amazing how time flies, hey? I still can’t believe you’re moving again! Sounds like a positive week though, hope you find a buyer soon. xx
