Hello! Welcome to 8 photos, 8 hours. Today is the start of a mini series of blog posts for me, aimed at progressing my photography skills, whilst capturing the very ordinary moments of our day-to-day lives. Above is a very chilled out Saturday that I’ve snapped, especially chilled as our littlest baby is a bit poorly. I guess the aim of these posts is to try and find an interesting way of photographing our day-to-day lives every now and again, and push myself to find different ways of doing so. I hope to improve my photography skills and creativity in the process. If anyone wants to have a go and join me then they’re more than welcome!
I realised when taking these photos, that when we’re mostly at home, food plays such a big part in our family life- I could have easily taken more today that involve cooking and eating. I feel that there will may more food snaps to come! #sorrynotsorry
We stayed close to home yesterday, which is often nice as we have such hectic weeks. Since I’ve had two full days to work from home for the last couple of weeks, my weekends already feel less pressured, and today there was no rush to catch up on any work or do ANYTHING, just a sense of peace and calm. It was such a great feeling. Long may it continue!

Love this idea, snapshots of your day that really tell a little story, so sweet! Hope your little one gets better soon, we’ve just gotten over lots of bugs and colds in our household the past few months, now we’re all healthy again (fingers crossed anyway!) :). We had a little winter walk yesterday morning and stayed in for the rest of the day it was so cold!! 🙂 xx

It certainly is getting colder now, today was the first day I had to wear my thick coat! S is quite poorly,bless her, ear and chest infection, but hoping antibiotics kick in soon! Fingers crossed you guys stay in the pink! xx

Thanks hon, I really need to do a proper photography course though, I totally bluff my way through and need to work my way around my manual settings- it’s just finding the time though! xx

I love this Becky, I did one very similar a while ago and I must do another one, it is so cute to document the little details in your day. Beautiful photos too- sorry that she wasn’t too well but what a gorgeous photo of her snuggled up asleep. Glad the calpol did the trick! x

Ooh fab, I’ll have to have a search for yours! Your pics are lovely- are you self-taught or did you do a course? I need to read up on manual settings etc and also go about finding a new lens for my camera- hard to know when to start! x
