The Best Island Paradises to Visit

Sometimes, you simply want to get away and enjoy lying on a beach with the sun beating down you before maybe taking a dip in the clear blue sea. It sounds a lot like paradise, doesn’t it? Well, there are quite a few islands out there in the world that get pretty close to paradise, and it’s time you found out more about the best of them. If you’re looking to head to an island paradise sometime this year, here are 5 of the best options.

tropical island

French Polynesia

French Polynesia might not be an island that’s on your radar, but that’s something that should most definitely change. It actually accounts for more than 100 individual islands. Their beautiful coral lagoons and the beautiful huts that tourists stay in are very impressive, so you should be sure to make the most of them. You can even move around from island to island to explore as many as you can.

If you visit Mahe in the Seychelles, you’ll immediately be blown away by the incredible surroundings and the stunning beaches there. It’s a classic destination for honeymooning couples and that’s no surprise at all. Seychelles is a beautiful place and the untouched, unspoilt natural beauty of the island is something to behold. Once you’re there, you probably won’t want to leave in a hurry, and why would you? Stay a while and enjoy everything it has to offer.

Corsica, France

Corsica is a unique mountain island that’s governed by France. Its also the birthplace and hometown of Napoleon Bonaparte! It’s home to some incredibly dense forests and some of the most impressive coastlines in Europe. It might be a little more rugged than the other islands on this list, but that’s not a bad thing and it shouldn’t cause it to be overlooked. You’ll have a great time relaxing and exploring Corsica.

Saint Lucia

On the west coast of Saint Lucia, you’ll find the Pitons, a pair of tapered mountains that are simply breathtaking. Aside from that, Saint Lucia is an island that offers the quiet life. It’s easygoing and many of the communities here are built around the local fishing industry. There are beaches, rainforests, waterfalls and reefs. In other words, there’s something for just about everyone.

Santorini, Greece

If you’re looking to travel somewhere with bags of character and plenty to offer, Santorini should definitely be high on your list. It’s iconic with its mesmerising white and blue buildings that many people associate with Greece above and beyond anything else that’s related to the nation. Be sure to consider it if you want to sample some of what Greece has to offer.

As you can see, there are plenty of beautiful islands around the world for you to explore and enjoy. Be sure to make the most of them and add them to your travel bucket list. One thing’s for sure, you won’t be disappointed by the experience each of these beautiful island paradises have to offer you.
