Manifesting Your Dream Life in Four Easy Steps

A lot of people think that The Law Of Attraction and Manifesting are just new age woo woo concepts, but they are really just tools in your ‘mental toolbox’ to help you achieve what you want.

If you’re curious to see if you can manifest your dream life, but don’t know where to start, in this article I’ll show you the four basic manifestation steps you need to take to get going.

Step One: Figure Out What You REALLY Want.

When you know what you really want and why you want it, you are on the first step to manifesting your dream life.

You need to take time to reflect on what you truly want. Take a piece of paper and simply brainstorm a list of things you think you want. Once you have a list, go through each of them and keep asking yourself why you want each one until you get to the true reason.

Often, when people say they want something they are just what I call ‘surface’ desires.

For example, let’s image you write down that you want to be a millionaire.

“Why?”

  • I want enough money to quit my day job

“Why?”

  • Because I want to spend more time with my family

“Why?

  • Because my family is the most important thing in my life

“Why?”

  • Because I want to have a deep loving relationship with my partner and children

Can you see how just 4 ‘whys’ took this desire from Money (the surface desire) to Love (the core desire).

Make sure you dive deep enough into your desires, otherwise your mind and heart will be in conflict and may ultimately block you from achieving what you really want.

Step Two: Set Out Your Targets

Now that you know what your dream life like looks like and why you want it; the next step is to set some goals.

Putting pen to paper and writing out exactly what you want to achieve really crystalizes it. If you don’t what you are aiming for, how will you know if you are getting close to hitting it or not?

Think about goals they have in sports like football and hockey.

What would happen if these goals were invisible and placed at random spots on the pitch? The players would have no idea where they were and any points they scores would just be from random luck.

I think you’d agree that it likely wouldn’t take long for them to give up in frustration.

This is what happens in real life if you don’t turn your desires into concrete goals! You are just like the aimless football players fumbling around the pitch not knowing where the goals are.

So make sure you write out your goals and check that they are specific and measurable so that you can monitor your progress towards them. If it’s a monetary goal, then set the amount and set a realistic target date to get the money. Don’t just say you want to ‘be rich’!

Step Three: See It To Achieve It

In this step you want to create a realistic vision for your subconscious mind to work away at in the background.

Whilst conscious planned action towards your goals is an absolute necessity, giving your subconscious mind a vivid picture of what you want will mean that it will work tirelessly to make it happen, guiding your actions and decisions without you actually realizing it!

To create a vision, choose a time and place where you can regularly sit quietly without being disturbed. Take several deep breaths, in through the nose and out through the mouth and when you are calm gently close your eyes.

Vividly visualize yourself in the future after you have achieved your goal. See what your life is like, hear the sounds around you, see the bright colors and experience the different smells. When you have this vivid vision, step inside and see through your future eyes and enjoy the wonderful feelings created there. Hold onto all of these experiences and emotions for several minutes.

When you are ready to end the practice, focus your attention back on your breathing and then when you are feeling calm, slowly open your eyes.

Keep repeating this vision exercise regularly to really imprint your vision into your subconscious.

To help expand on this, you can even create a vision board so that you can simply and easily check in with your vision whenever you want.

Step Four: Be Grateful

Being grateful for what you have already achieved and for the people and experiences you have in your life provides a healthy balance to pursuing your goals. It ensures you are not constantly dissatisfied because you haven’t yet achieved some of the things you want. It also helps you to develop an abundance mindset.

As Tony Robbins famously states – “Where focus goes, energy flows.” So, if you are constantly focusing on lack, then you will likely get more of it.  Make sure you focus repeatedly on being grateful for what you do have in your life to avoid this kind of scarcity mindset.

Remember life is a journey, you aren’t aiming to be happy when you get to the end, you have ambitions and goals to keep life interesting and challenging right now. So remember to enjoy the journey and be grateful for what comes across your path!

It’s really easy to cultivate a gratitude habit. You simply need to note down 3 things each day that you are grateful for. That’s it! As simple as it sounds (and it is) it has tremendous power if done consistently every day.

Sum up

If you truly want to create a ‘dream life’ then manifestation and other concepts that are at the core of The Law Of Attraction can help you get there.

It is possible to manifest what you want! All you need to do is follow the four simple steps outlined above and trust in the universe and your subconscious mind to help guide you to success!
