How to look and feel 10 years younger

How to look and feel 10 years younger

Now, it doesn’t matter how old you are or what you look like, but it it’s also true that looking and feeling your best is a pretty effective way to boost your confidence and nudge yourself towards ‘living your best life’ <boak!>. If you feel younger, you’re going to have the energy, attitude, and style you need to live your life to the full. And what’s more is that achieving this isn’t only possible, it can be possible using all-natural methods. We take a look at a few of them below….

Join a Yoga Club

There’s a piece of wisdom that’s commonly shared by yoga teachers and practitioners: whatever age you are when you start yoga, that’s how old you’ll feel for the rest of your days. Now, that might sound grand, but if anything, it’s too modest. Yoga is awesome for all kinds of reasons, and one of the biggest advantages it brings is that it makes people more flexible. I know that I am FAR too stiff for my age and really need to start doing something about this as it really does make me feel older. Feeling old is related, in part, to how we feel in our body, and if we’re finding it difficult to get around and be active, then we’ll feel old. Yoga will put a spring in your step that you might not have felt for years, and I know that I always feel much better once I’ve been to a class at the gym.

Take Care Of Your Skin

You can’t stop the march of time, but you can slow it down, especially when it comes to your skin. There are plenty of things bad for your skin that people seem to do anyway, such as spending too much time in the sun, smoking, drinking alcohol, staying up late, and so on (eek!). Say goodbye, or at least, cut down, on these aspects of your life, and introduce more skin-saving practices and products into your life. Walnut oil, for example, does wonders when it comes to reducing the signs of ageing — pick some up from Erbology, use it regularly, and you’ll feel the effects of its antioxidant powers. There’s nothing better than looking younger than your years!

Trying New Activities

Age is part to do with the body, part to do with the mind. If we’re not feeding new information into our minds, then, of course, it’s going to feel old — it’s the excitement of new experiences that make being young so much fun. But the kids don’t have a monopoly on new experiences, oh no. Anyone can get involved! If it’s been a while since you’ve pushed yourself, look at taking a trip or signing up for a class to learn a new skill. I recently joined a horse riding lesson with Sasha and it felt AMAZING, first time I’d been on a horse in years (I used to ride and compete all the time) and came away buzzing. Definitely more of this sort of thing please this year!

Say Goodbye to Stress

One of the reasons people envy the youth is because they’re able to live with so little stress. But so can you! You have responsibilities and commitments, of course, but if your stress is robbing you of your happiness, then you’re going to feel your age. Meditation is an excellent way to keep stress at bay, and it’s really simple to do, too, although I must admit that I find it hard to calm my buzzing mind. As well as meditation, make sure you’re making time for fun in your life — nothing makes you feel young quite like spending some time on a kids’ climbing frame, haha!

I swear by yoga ! So glad I got back into it last year. I’ve been making time for my practice and making it priority. Unless there’s an act of God, I’m turning up ! Thank you for the post. Definitely some good tips.
