How to create a Monogram Wallet

There’s something about a monogram bag or wallet that feels oh-so-swanky and a little bit posh.

If you love a bit of a DIY project, then why not have a go at making this ace monogrammed wallet? Fellow blogger The Lovely Drawer shows how easy it is to personalise accessories with fabric spray paint and a stencil!

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Rust-Oleum Flexible Fabric Paint
  • Alphabet stencil
  • Masking tape
  • Double sided tape

STEP 1

Cut out the letter you wish to use from the alphabet stencil. Use double sided tape to cover any detailed areas of the stencil that may lift when spraying. This will help to ensure clean lines when you spray. Peel the backing off the double sided tape and stick the stencil to the leather face up.

STEP 2

Move the wallet to a well-ventilated area and place on top of newspaper or a dust sheet. Apply masking tape all around each edge of the stencil and ensue you completely cover the remainder of the wallet to protect from spray
mist. Spray with two light layers of Rust-Oleum Flexible Fabric Paint, allowing to dry in-between.

STEP 3

Once dry, peel the stencil away from the leather and voila!

There you have it, your DIY monogrammed wallet!

What do you think? I have a feeling I might end up monogramming all the kids stuff as well as Adam and my wash bags, sunglasses cases etc, haha! Do you have any creative projects on the go? Let me know in the comments below!
