The Great Little Trading Co Flagship Showroom Launch Party!

001012020018005One of the very best things to come out of blogging (friendships and being able to be your own boss aside), is the chance to work with some truly fantastic brands, ones I have loved for years, as well as more recent finds. Last summer, I approached The Great Little Trading Co about the possibility of our family working with them, and was absolutely delighted when owner Annie (along with her husband, Jamie) emailed me back with so much positivity, enthusiasm and kindness I thought I might burst! She sent us the awesome Play Shop and Theatre for Freddie and Sasha to try out, as well as lots of other bits and bobs to go with it, and I was bowled over with her thoughtfulness and the fact she just ‘got it’. You see, when you’re a blogger, it takes some balls to put yourself out there and prepare a well thought-out pitch to a company, and sometimes when a company doesn’t even respond full stop, which can be very disheartening. Annie and the team at GLTC are a dream to work with, because they see the value of bloggers who work hard with their reviews, and treat us all so well. There is a now a fab testing team of fellow parenting/lifestyle bloggers, and we all enjoy and rave about GLTC – loyal fans for life now!

Anyway, I digress, my point was going to be that this is how I ended up at THE most fabulous party on Saturday, thrown by GLTC, to celebrate the launch of their new flagship showroom (opening this Friday 29th April) in the heart of Wandsworth, London. I hotfooted it there with Freddie, Sasha, and my right hand woman (my Mum!) as Adam was managing his football team, to see exactly what the new showroom was like. I wasn’t sure what to expect- I knew it would be great (obvs, the team has great taste and attention to detail with everything!), but the end result blew my interiors-loving mind. The space was HUGE and the layout just heavenly, especially for a 3 and 5 year old.

What makes the new showroom great is the ability for customers to really get ‘hands on’ with their potential purchases. There are gorgeous bedroom layouts so you can gage the size of beds, for example, and toys out for the littlest customers to sample. With a gin and cucumber cocktail in hand, we took our time exploring the new store, with F & S road-testing many of the products and being fed and entertained along the way. Let’s just say my wishlist has considerably grown now!

Here are some snaps of our day out at the party…

026

^^^Shortly after we arrived, Freddie and Sasha quickly discovered these fab wooden scooters, which they whizzed around the showroom on for a great deal of the party (despite F being really too big for his now!). The showroom is so big, they didn’t bother anyone, and had a brilliant time rounding up teddy bears.

^^^Testing out one of the mid-sleeper beds! This is the bed I have my eye on for when we move house and upgrade Freddie’s bed from his current one. I love how there is a tent below for play, sleep or storing things.

^^^Someone was very happy about getting her own employee badge- this is DEFINITELY a better first job than I ever had!

055

^^^Some of the gorgeous rugs on display.

007 010

^^^Enjoying the play table; I would give this house room any day if/when we get a playroom!

024

^^^I am hugely coveting this book tidy storage solution- again, one on my list for when we move house!

^^^Getting comfy on these gorgeous bean bags ready for story time (the best thing ever when someone else is doing it, so you can chat to your friends!).

031

^^^Popcorn cones by the ton- I dread to think how many my two got through!

066

^^^Also, I really want to meet the person who made these awesome GLTC watermelon bears!

056 057 061

^^^Some of the prettiest styling within the store.

071 072

^^^This might seem weird, but I couldn’t NOT include some snaps of the showroom toilets, they are honestly the best I’ve ever come across, SO family-friendly! Again, a clear sign that GLTC really gets its customers, and cares about them too.

079

^^^Aah with some of my fellow testing team lovely ladies- me, Caro, Emily and Rachel- another fab thing to come out of blogging is to meet so many lovely, creative, supportive people 🙂 In fact, the whole testing team is fab (natch).

067

^^^Who can resist a GLTC Cat in the form of a cake pop? Annie, I NEED to know who made these!

087

^^^When we arrived home, weary but beaming after such a great day, the icing on the cake was the most thoughtful goody bags for the children (and my Mum got a special one too!).

We are so lucky to work with such a great company, and I thoroughly recommend you get yourself down to the new showroom, pronto, and have a look around- it really is a day out in itself, and I couldn’t be prouder to work with the amazing GLTC team, they’ve done a cracking job!

The new Great Little Trading Company Showroom opens this Friday 29th April, 12 Buckhold Road, London, SW18.
