One thing our 3 children love to do once the weather is nice is to be outdoors. Whilst I often have vague fantasies of roaming the countryside, but living in the London suburbs you can’t beat staying at home on a hot summer’s day and making the most of your garden- and making the most of your garden with children often involves some cool outdoor toys!
Having worked with Chad Valley on their Play Panel before, we know that they have some fantastic toys for little ones, and we were over the moon when they asked if we’d like to try some outdoor gear. The Chad Valley range has over 400 toys for babies, toddlers and younger children (aged 2-9), and are designed and developed purely with play in mind.
We were sent 3 different garden toys to try from the Chad Valley Range, and here’s what my tribe thought of them:
Volcano Activity Pool
All 3 kids love playing in water, and baby Arlo adores splashing about with his water tray and in shallow water (with close supervision, obvs). Whilst we have had a very basic small paddling pool in the past for the bigger two when they were toddlers, we’ve never had one as super-cool as the Volcano Activity Pool! I admit that I was pretty excited to set this up whilst Arlo was napping the other day as I knew he’d love it, and it didn’t disappoint.
The pool has several fun features, including 4 play balls to roll up and down the inflatable ball ramp (he was obsessed with this), inflatable plam trees, plus you can also attach your garden hose to the water sprayer to soak the removable slide, for slip and slide fun. The pool is aimed at slightly older children than Arlo (and 6 year old Sasha loved it too!), but I was supervising closely and was happy with him in it.
The Volcano Activity Pool retails at £34.99 and I’m looking forward to this lasting the littlest member of the family for a good few years.
Chad Valley Inflatable Goal Set
Freddie was over the moon to arrive home and discover this inflatable goal set, complete with target ‘holes’ for accuracy practice and point scoring. As someone who has become football mad over the past year, this is a great addition for the garden and adds a different dynamic to playing football at home- both with friends and also as some solo footie practice. From a parental point of view, I love the fact that it’s inflatable and therefore can easily be stored away in the garage.
Chad Valley Inflatable Fun House with Slide
Freddie was at beaver camp this past weekend, so we got the Inflatable Fun House with Slide out for Sasha to test out and she absolutely LOVED it! With a small bouncing section, inflatable slide with optional water sprayer (for maximum sliding, natch), and splash pool for either water or balls, this is the ULTIMATE summer addition for your garden. At 6 Sasha is still really enjoying this, but I think a 3 or 4 year old would get a good 5 years use out of this to make it value for money- we can’t wait for Arlo to be old enough to have a go.
We’ve enjoyed our outdoor toys from Chad Valley so much the past couple of weeks and I know that we’ll continue to do so throughout the rest of the summer- and years beyond.
We’ve been delighted to work with Argos and Chad Valley again, and were sent these products for the purpose of an honest review.
