My current favourite Retro Homeware pieces

You probably know by now how much I adore interiors and doing up our home, and one of my favourite trends in the nod to a more retro look. Our house is a post-war London build, and as a result I’m particularly drawn to mid-century items for it.

I can’t get enough right now of gorgeous retro accessories, such a lamps, chairs and side tables. We already have several great pieces for our home, but there are still (in my mind) quite a few ‘bits’ left to get to really complete the look that we’re going for.

Here are some of my favourite retro homeware pieces that are available to buy online right now- I’ve linked to them below the pictures for easy shopping!

The Statement Chair

I absolutely LOVE this Willow Retro Scandinavian Style Chair from Zurleys, one of my favourite go-to places online for homeware. They do loads of retro-inspired items, and this chair is a fabulous statement piece that would look great in your living room, bedroom or perhaps study (they do it in an amazing blue as well). Chair, £197.

The Retro-look Console Table

I can’t vouch for the quality of this as it’s on the cheap-side, but I do like the look of this retro-look console table from this Ebay store. I’m currently toying with replacing our current hallway shoe bench and would like something like this if I could get some attractive shoe storage/baskets for underneath it, but I’m not sure if they would ruin the overall look or not?

The Bargain Digital ‘Retro’ Radio

I spied this retro-look ‘Blaupunkt’ digital radio on the Sainsbury’s website, and as well as looking great it’s kind on your purse – at £50 it’s a good 150 quid cheaper than more well-known digital radio competitors. I likey very much for our bedroom as we’ve just ditched the TV in there in search of a more calming space so this could be a good compromise.

The Classic Bedside Table

If you’re looking for retro-Scandi style look in your bedroom but worried about choosing the right ones that won’t date, these classic bedside tables from Zurleys will never go out of style. The white looks fresh and goes with a whole multitude of colour schemes- I’ve actually bookmarked these as I’m thinking of updating certain aspects of our bedroom and these would look fab against our dark grey walls.

Bread Bin of Dreams

This may seem like a weird thing to include but I ADORE this Swan retro bread bin from Next. Maybe I’ve been on another low-carb planet where bread rolls and a crusty bloomer don’t feature, but I haven’t seen a bread bin like this before and really, really want one! Now to justify to my husband why this is an essential kitchen purchase when we already have a perfectly serviceable one…

Do you like the retro look? If so, what would you say is a must-have piece/item for the home?
