A Visit to Sea Life London Aquarium with kids #Ad #Review

In what is becoming a rather lovely summer holiday tradition, we were once again invited to visit Sea Life London Aquarium to find out what’s new, as well as check out their fun ‘Fin-tastic’ selfie wall, where visitors get to meet a whole range of marine chums and find out who their BBF is, plus get the chance to win some great prizes (more on this in a bit!).

As a family living in London, Sea Life London Aquarium has always been somewhere we’ve visited regularly, and has been our go-to indoor place to visit since Freddie and Sasha were toddlers. Now they are older they love it because they can read and find out more about the different marine life, and also to get a greater understanding of how to look after the oceans and what good (and bad) things humans are doing when it comes to this. At 2, Arlo just thoroughly enjoys looking at everything, with the sharks and penguins being ultimate favourites, so it’s just such a great venue to visit in the holidays when you’re trying to find something to do that caters for all ages.

We decided to take along one of the children’s god mothers, Lauren, for some fishy fun! Here we are meeting Sea Life ‘Bestie’ Juno the Penguin and getting our marine ‘Bestie’ stickers on arrival!

Even since we came last year, the aquarium has been refurbished in several different areas, and I noticed that there were several areas with even more to do, especially for the older two, than there was last time- which is obviously great! Here are some snaps of our visit…

We arrived for our slot at 9.45am on a Friday and I have to say that it was the quietest time that we’ve been, so there’s a top tip if you want to beat the crowds, I’ll definitely be heading there at this time again in the future!

One the main highlights of the Sea Life London Aquarium this summer is the super-fun fin-tastic ‘selfie wall’, where visitors can discover who their bestie is, and take their ultimate BBF selfie (Sasha especially abolsutely LOVED this!). Budding marine explorers will also be in with a chance to win a VIP experience with Sea Life’s social competition, where you can share your selfie with #SeaLifeLondonBestie on the aquarium’s social channels (@sea_life_london on Instagram, @london_aquarium on Twitter and @SEALIFELondonaquarium on Facebook).

Here are some of the fin-tastic friends families can look forward to meeting this summer:

Boris the Sea Turtle

Journey through the ocean tunnel where you can discover an array of marine life including unicorn tangs, rays, puffer fish… You may catch a glimpse of Boris the sea green turtle; he’s a little shy at first but lots of fun when he gets to know you!

Belle the Shark

Come face-to-fin with several species of sharks at SEA Life London, including sand tigers, black tips, and nurse sharks. Take cover or you’ll get soaked by nurse shark Belle; an extravagant lady who loves making a splash!

Juno the Penguin

Brrr-ace the chills and thrills of Polar Adventure, home to their Gentoo penguins. Keep an eye out for Juno; she may live in the cold, but her playful nature will melt your heart.

Archie the Dwarf Croc

Brave the rainforest and discover a world full of creepy crawlies, charming crocs and curious critters. Remember to wave your fin to our quirky croc Archie; he has a winning smile that will warm your heart.

We all chose a different ‘Bestie’ to have our selfies with!

You can get even closer to these amazing creatures as there are a number of VIP experiences to discover, including feeds, snorkelling with sharks (Shark Encounter) and Behind-the-Scenes Tour. Even if you don’t decide on a VIP experience, you can still see the animals up close- we arrived in time for penguin feeding and all 3 children were over the moon!

The Sea Life London Aquarium is a staple on our days out calendar, and is definitely worth the time to visit whether or live in London or are travelling in.

Thanks once again for inviting us guys!
