The way your morning goes down is often the rest of the day goes down. If your morning is hectic and rushed, then the rest of the day often follows suit. However, if you can create a morning routine that you truly love, you will be able to go about your day with peace of mind and productivity.

Add meditation to your morning routine and you’ll likely feel more relaxed and clear headed for the rest of the day. Meditation has a ton of benefits, including a stronger immune system and better creativity. Yes it’s a hard habit to get into, and yes it can be difficult to just ‘sit there and do nothing’, but it really is one of the best things you can do for your mind and your overall lifestyle.

Read A Chapter Of A Book

Read a chapter of a self help or spirituality book so that you can go about your day having learned something new or with a new perspective. Reading just a couple of pages each day can make such a huge difference to your life and mindset. If you struggle to read or don’t have time, you could always make your commute work harder for you by listening to an audiobook. 

Do A Little Exercise 

Exercise helps to wake us up and create a clear mind so that we can get ready for whatever the day throws at us. It’s a fact that when we feel physically strong, we feel ready to take on anything. See if you can do a quick circuit in your home if you don’t have time for a full on gym session. Whatever you do, make sure it’s exercise you enjoy, and that you feel good afterwards. It might be difficult to get started, but you’ll always feel better once it’s done. 

Drink Water (Then Coffee) 

Don’t start the day with coffee. Instead, drink a pint of water. Many people don’t realize that they wake up feeling groggy in the morning because they are dehydrated! Once you’ve drank your water you should feel much better, and you’ll be kickstarting yourself into good habits for the rest of the day. When you’ve done that, feel free to enjoy your speciality coffee. Bear in mind though, experts say the best time of day to drink coffee is later on in the morning, as we tend to have some natural energy once we have woken up. Use it wisely. 


Journaling about your feelings or pretty much anything else in your head can help you to have a much better day. Don’t carry your anxiety and overthinking around with you.

List three things you are going to get done. What are your priorities? 

Get Ready 

Wear clothes you like and make yourself feel presentable for the day ahead. It’s all subconscious, but it will make a difference to how you feel.
