Walking up the stairs is a simple task and once you get into it, you won’t even realise that you are burning any calories – perfect!

Park Further Away

This one sounds a little silly but if you start parking your car further away, you’ll have to walk a little further each day to get to and from it. This is a simple change which can actually make a lot of difference to the number of calories that you burn each day. The added benefit is that you won’t have to wrestle with the other cars for those nearby spaces, you can head to the back of the carpark where there is plenty of room!

Buy Some Equipment

If you are trying to burn some calories in a short space of time, you might find that you can’t really make it to the gym. The good news is that there are plenty of machines and weights that you can buy for your home to use when you have a little spare time. Go for A Walk

You could even get a colleague to come with you to get a coffee and you’ll be able to feel like your walk has a purpose. If you start to enjoy your walk you could even start walking to work if you live close enough or getting off your bus a few stops earlier in the mornings!
